S M Mahfuzul Islam is working as Assistant Manager, Strategy at RedOrange Communications. He has
earned his BSS and MSS degrees from the Department of Sociology, University of Dhaka. In his
professional career, Mahfuzul has gained experience in multiple fields, most notably teaching, research,
and communication. In doing so, he has been involved in research and educational institutions, as well
as non-governmental and private organisations. Previously, he worked as a Lecturer at the Department
of Environment and Development Studies, United International University.
Apart from these, Mahfuzul enjoys taking photographs. His journey in photography started in 2014 after
joining the Dhaka University Photographic Society (DUPS). Since then, his photographs have been
exhibited in several national and international exhibitions and some of them have won awards including
the Commended Photographer title from the World Photography Organisation (WPO).
