Designation: Project Coordinator
Taspia Mohammed Marina is a project coordinator for client relations at RedOrange Communications. Alongside her role, she is an emerging Anthropologist who researched sex education and contraceptive knowledge of rural adolescent girls of Sunamganj. Her expertise in this area was honed during her tenure as a young research fellow of Share-Net Bangladesh in 2022. Taspia’s academic journey is marked by significant achievements that reflect her dedication and hard work. She earned a bachelor’s degree in 2019 and a thesis-based master's degree with Distinction in 2023, both in anthropology, from Shahjalal University of Science and Technology, Sylhet, Bangladesh. Her academic prowess is further evidenced by her work at Johns Hopkins University Center for Communications, BRAC JPGSPH, BRAC IED, and icddr,b in multiple research projects, where she applied KII, IDI, Case study method, FGD, and cognitive method in her research. Taspia’s research interests are diverse and reflect her broad knowledge of anthropology. Her expertise is grounded in qualitative, ethnographic, and mixed-methods research, and her research interests span reproductive health, gender-based rituals and sports, political ecology, masculinity, remote and primary healthcare, sustainable ecology, and ecotourism. Her theoretical and methodological interests focus on the cognitive research method, thick description analysis, governmentality, and health system model. Taspia’s interests and skills extend beyond her academic and professional pursuits. She is an entrepreneur, promoting eco-friendly jewelry and crafts, and a former drummer of the RIM Musical Club. Her passion for music and entrepreneurship reflects her diverse skills and interests. In her spare time, she enjoys reading articles and gardening, demonstrating her commitment to continuous learning and sustainable living.
