Ruhan Shama is a Programme Specialist at RedOrange, bringing over 18 years of professional experience across project management and social compliance auditing in Bangladesh. She holds both BSS and MSS in Sociology from the University of Dhaka, which supports her strong analytical perspective and people-centered approach to development work.
Prior to joining RedOrange, Shama worked extensively as a Social Compliance Auditor, collaborating with several international brands and gaining in-depth exposure to ethical standards, health & safety, and industry best practices within the RMG sector. Her career has since evolved into managing and supporting development projects, where she has provided strategic and operational oversight to initiatives funded by prominent international donors, including Nuffic, AmplifyChange, Global Affairs Canada, HealthBridge Canada, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the Netherlands, and German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ).
Known for her structured approach, Shama plays a key role in ensuring project effectiveness, accountability, and impact. Her work reflects a strong commitment to sustainable development and successful project delivery in Bangladesh. Beyond her professional pursuits, Shama loves to play piano. She has a deep appreciation for music and food as well.
