Key Responsibilities:
Provide financial management and accounting support for project implementation in accordance with applicable financial policies, procedures, and donor requirements.
Develop and maintain project budgets, financial plans, expenditure tracking systems, and budget monitoring tools.
Monitor project expenditures and ensure effective financial control, compliance, and accountability.
Prepare financial statements, budget utilization reports, financial forecasts, and other project-related financial documents.
Support financial planning, fund management, cash flow monitoring, and resource allocation processes.
Ensure compliance with organizational, government, and donor financial regulations, policies, and reporting requirements.
Coordinate with project teams, auditors, and relevant stakeholders during financial reviews, audits, and assessments.
Maintain accurate financial records, supporting documents, and accounting documentation.
Identify financial risks and provide recommendations to strengthen financial management and internal control systems.
Prepare financial sections of project reports and contribute to overall project documentation and reporting.
Requirements :
Academic Qualification
Postgraduate Degree or Diploma in Commerce, Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or an equivalent discipline from a recognized university.
Professional Experience :
Minimum 10 years of relevant professional experience in project accounting, financial management, budgeting, and financial reporting.
Demonstrated experience in managing finances for development projects, government programs, or donor-funded initiatives.
Strong knowledge of project accounting principles, financial controls, budgeting processes, and financial compliance requirements.
Experience in preparing financial reports, budget analyses, expenditure tracking reports, and audit-related documentation.
Proficiency in accounting software, financial management systems, and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
Experience working with government agencies, NGOs, international development organizations, or donor-funded projects will be considered an advantage.
Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and report-writing skills.
Expertise in preparing project-related financial reports and documentation.
