Key Responsibilities:
Provide technical leadership on social safeguard, social inclusion, gender equality, and community engagement aspects of project implementation.
Conduct social assessments, needs assessments, stakeholder consultations, and social impact analyses to inform project design and implementation.
Develop and implement strategies to promote gender inclusion, women’s empowerment, social cohesion, and equitable access to project benefits.
Design and strengthen monitoring and evaluation (M&E) frameworks, indicators, and tools related to social safeguard and inclusion outcomes.
Support the planning and delivery of capacity-building initiatives for project staff, stakeholders, community groups, and partner organizations.
Provide technical guidance on livelihood promotion, vulnerable group engagement, and community development interventions.
Ensure project activities comply with applicable social safeguard principles, policies, and donor requirements.
Prepare high-quality technical reports, assessment reports, progress reports, case studies, and other project documentation.
Contribute to knowledge management, learning, and dissemination of project results and best practices.
Requirements:
Academic Qualification
Postgraduate Degree in Social Work, Sociology, or a closely related discipline from a recognized university.
Professional Experience:
Minimum 15 years of professional experience in the social development sector.
At least 7 years of demonstrated experience in:
– Conducting needs assessments and social assessments;
– Designing and implementing monitoring and evaluation (M&E) frameworks;
– Capacity building and institutional strengthening;
– Gender equality, social inclusion, and women’s empowerment initiatives;
– Livelihood promotion and community development programs.
Strong understanding of social safeguard principles, stakeholder engagement, and participatory development approaches.
Proven experience in preparing technical reports, assessment reports, and project documentation.
Experience working with government agencies, development partners, NGOs, or donor-funded projects will be considered an advantage.
Excellent analytical, facilitation, communication, and report-writing skills.
