Key Responsibilities:

•⁠ ⁠Work closely with the Bangladesh Water Development Board, Department of Environment, and Local Government Engineering Department to collect relevant data
•⁠ ⁠Support the classification of khals/canals based on hydrological characteristics
•⁠ ⁠Assist the Team Leader and IT Expert in preparing an inventory structure applicable across different hydrological regions
•⁠ ⁠Gather and organize spatial and non-spatial data for each khal
•⁠ ⁠Work with the Team Leader and IT Expert to align the Khal Inventory Framework with national data sources and GIS base layers

Requirements:

•⁠ ⁠BSc in Civil Engineering or Water Resources Engineering from BUET or any reputed technical university
•⁠ ⁠1–2 years of relevant professional experience
•⁠ ⁠Experience in digital inventory development
•⁠ ⁠Experience working with data sources and GIS base layers
•⁠ ⁠Experience in Canal/Khal Management will be considered an added advantage
•⁠ ⁠Strong understanding of hydrological characteristics and canal/khal systems
•⁠ ⁠Good analytical, data organization, and problem-solving skills
•⁠ ⁠Ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams
•⁠ ⁠Good communication skills and ability to coordinate with relevant stakeholders
