Jannatul Munia is working as the General Manager at RedOrange Media and Communication, a leading international communication agency in the development sector in Bangladesh. She is also coordinating the Share-Net Bangladesh (the biggest knowledge platform on SRHR in Bangladesh) activities. She is a development practitioner having considerable experience in overall project management and has cross-cutting expertise in comprehensive project and organisational management in sectors like finance, admin, subgrant, HR and operations.
She has experience working with women and young people regarding sexual and reproductive health rights (SRHR), gender-based violence, menstrual health, safe abortion, early marriage, and human trafficking etc. She previously worked with an International Non-Profit, (Internews Network) with boots on the ground experience in the conflict-prone area “Cox’s Bazar” where nearly 1 million Rohingya refugees are currently living side by side with the Bangladeshi host community. She strategizes, organises, coordinates and conducts the various programme activities according to programme requirements.
She has completed her graduation in Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology from the University of Dhaka. After graduation, Jannat had been waiting for her true calling. After meeting with a colleague who worked in the peace corps, she found her passion in humanitarian work. She is currently pursuing a postgraduate degree in “Development Studies” from BRAC University. She wants to be a leader to be able to help communities in need and give back to the communities.
She likes to travel, loves crime drama and in the communities where she works, she is known as a dedicated professional, always ready to go the extra mile.
