Ms. Khaleda Yasmin started her journey as the Director, Health and Gender at Red Orange Communications Ltd from 1st January. Before Red Orange she worked as the National Coordinator at Family Planning-Field Services Delivery (FP-FSD) of Directorate General of Family Planning (DGFP) from 14 March 2019. Earlier she worked as Team Leader of a Netherlands Embassy supported project Nirapod-2 at Marie Stopes Bangladesh (MSB). She has also worked at Bangladesh Disaster Preparedness Centre, Ankur ICT Development Foundation, Acid Survivors Foundation and Centre for Mass Education in Science.
She has more than 20 years of experiences in development field including working experience directly on women empowerment, Sexual Reproductive Health & Rights (SRHR), Gender, Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR), ICT & Education, Violence Against Women (VAW), Child Marriage prevention, Monitoring, Research and advocacy with Development Partners, NGOs, GoB, Private Sector, Ready-made garments and Media. She has passed her education (MSc and BSc honors) in chemistry. She has participated different international conferences (Vietnam and Thailand) and National Conferences on SRHR, VAW, ICT and DRR in the country.
She is Committed to address human rights, gender equalities, empowerment of women in assigned projects. She has field level experiences in developing project concept, project proposal, budget, SBCC, logical framework, research reports. She is capable to develop communication network with development partners to reduce GBV and engaging men and boys to promote gender equality and women empowerment.
She has experiences of managing and coordinating different forums like: National Girl Child Advocacy Forum, Girls not Bride Forum, Disaster Management Committees, SRH forum for RMGs and MR Alliance in Bangladesh, Family Planning Committees etc. She has experiences in facilitating and managing local, national & International events. She is also a writer of different National dailies in Bangladesh. She is committed to contribute more on SRHR, Gender, Health System Strengthening, Women Empowerment, VAW, Environment and Climate Change issues in Bangladesh.
