Rifa Tamanna has a keen passion and strong enthusiasm for writing, communications, and research, and has an academic background in law from BRAC University. With a track-record of developing and implementing meaningful initiatives, she looks forward to contributing to the legal and development sectors to disseminate learning about human-rights, environment, gender and inclusivity. With her start-up idea “Terra” that used to produce bioplastics made from seaweed to combat plastic pollution, she became one of the finalists of HULT Regionals in Vietnam in 2020. She has several publications, including a journal publication of the Gender Diverse Population of Bangladesh in Beijing Law Review. She wants to create impactful opportunities for the youth and marginalised communities of the country through her work.
